Mykos Restaurant LLC in Northvale, NJ is looking for a warm and welcoming Hostess to be the first face our guests see when they walk through the door. Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly, professional demeanor upon arrival
- Manage reservations and walk-in seating using a waitlist or reservation system
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus in a timely manner
- Monitor dining room flow and communicate wait times accurately to guests
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries
- Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth table turnover
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area
Requirements:
- Prior hosting, customer service, or front-of-house restaurant experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm, friendly, and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the dining room
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality
